"True love" is bullshit, and always has been

One of my best friends got married a little over a year ago. And he knew this girl for several years before that. It was an improbable, almost movie-worthy series of events. Finding each other after losing contact, building their relationship, and being the most perfect for each other (at least to outside viewers). It was a proud moment for is family.

And theeeeeeen..... apparently, their marriage is failing. No kids (not necessarily required, but whatever) never lived together, never did much after the wedding itself. All because she got cold feet and now doesn't want to move across the country, or something.

I feel so upset, numb, helpless, hopeless, and bewildered. WTF??? And I knew these people for several years myself. How could that happen? And if so, what chances do I have? On one hand, it may not be my business, but on the other it is.

I feel increasingly numb, detached from the world like I have no stake in it. If my friend was a Chad (which he ain't), this wouldn't be happening. I have to wonder if she ever loved him, or if she just liked the idea of the wedding and party afterward.

Yeah if we ever do ascend we will still be treated as second-option beta cucks and will have to worry about the girl leaving or cheating or being a whore or divorce rape or otherwise turning into a bitter cunt and ruining our lives in a hundred different ways.

But i think the more brutal pill is that true love does exist, for chad. We will never experience the visceral lust in a foid's eyes that she has for chad. At best we will get unenthusiastic starfish sex once or twice a year, if it all.
