There was this past myth of the flynn effect but its absurd. IQ cannot grow forever. At the very best with good education, good diet and good habits and exercise you can reach an IQ potential.
you can have a normie 98 IQ being boosted up to 118 IQ. Sleep deprivation lowers IQ so if you fix it maybe you get your IQ boosted. University boosts IQ but is temporrary. ANyone who is studying will have an IQ slightly higher than he would if he was not studying. CIA also studied hypnosis and memory so they give to some of their agents a boosted memory and thru training and drugs the agent can get a slightly boosted IQ.
Yeah, sure, it happens we can see significant improvements by just fixing diet, its a big thing. If you nourish your body properly and do physical exercise too you get an IQ boost.
But this is all optimization of human resources, we didnt engineer DNA to improve human intellect. Also, we are on a dysgenic trend and people get dumber.
But lets assume we have the most optimal conditions to nourish humanIQ, even then it would still be a limited resource because we humans are surely marvelous creatures but we arent gods who can do it all. Human knowledge was said to be scary in medieval times, which I agree with, because human knowledge is gigantic. We cannot rival the mind of a god but look around you, all what we have was achieved just with human knowledge.
The issue is its limited anyway even if we humans are incredible creatures with an amazing super brain I call "reality engine". So we may be accurate when we say something like "in the world there are enough resources for all and elites should not depopulate the planet". Yeah ok thats fair. But its also true to exploit the resources we need combined efforts of multiple bigIQ people.
Some economists say that if we have a ton of humans with bigIQ we multiply progress exponentially. It may be, but we also multiply the antisocials and the lowIQ and how precisely do they plan to suppress the reproduction rates of the underclass and keep raising human IQ indefinitely without help of genetic engineering? I didnt see a compelling argument they mostly assume things happen magically.
I would say I remain for now with this idea that human intelligence is limited, cannot grow indefinitely, we have limits and seem quite objective to me. We cannot do it all. So we cant plan utopias and make them work just because "In theory" they can work. We may lack the number of geniuses we need. Or geniuses may be invested in activities other than economic planning for instance many of them become excellent game programmers or excellent doctors. We cant force all big IQ people to study economics, they will go and study physics or whatever they are gifted at.
So the end result is we never have enough IQ and we also cannot boost it without genetic engineering. Surely wishful thinking doesnt boosts IQ that much is certain.
