I have actually posted this before somewhere in the forums with an annotated listing of all the greatest composers whose works I find to be both inspirational and invigorating.

I shall endeavor to find that thread and link it here but in the meantime, I would just tell you that my preference has always been for Classical and symphonic orchestration and includes the works of great men such as Wagner, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky (I couldn't live without Swan Lake), J.S. Strauss II, Chopin (nocturne's), Mahler (notwithstanding his jewish origins) and Schubert.
