All the experts who do game studies focus on call of duty: https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... _War_Games
In my opinion is pretty easy to figure out call of duty. Basically call of duty is egalitarianism. Its a game dense with theory on how to manipulate normie masses .
In this book: https://rsd2-alert-durden-connections.w ... nses_3.pdf
Refer to chapter 21 where it lists some theories about rewarding players for collaborative actions. They call it "feedback reward" and "lens of cooperation".
From chapter 10 to 11 they mention "elements of game mechanics" and ideas about "balance". I find them very manipulative, because they present the thesis that we have to alter the system in a manner that rewards everyone, and they call it "balance" with a very deceptive jargon.
The U.S. military has explicitly used games for recruitment, call of duty in particular. Theres interviews at joe roagan show where soldiers admit they entered military because is "call of duty in real life".
Also this https://www.wired.com/2013/03/call-of-d ... nsactions/
From epstein files, we know bobby kotick and pablos holman expressed the idea of training kids about economics using microtransactions in call of duty.
Call of duty is also the recruitment ground for nazis like mark collett. They play that game and they introduce normies to nazi themes. Mark Collett is an adult man who goes online to "radicalize teenagers" who grow up fatherless and he introduces them to nazism and stalinism.
The same game has also been used to recruit for ISIS, and introduce terrorism topics, there were also manuals circulating on archive.org. "This is our Call of Duty… we respawn in Jannah"
In my opinion call of duty is a recruitment center simply because it engineers behaviors and is dense with theory. Its the most psyopped game at the moment where you get theories on storytelling and game design and behavioral economics. People study economics of game design and in call of duty you see the majority of these theories real life implemented. So call of duty is simply the most optimal recruitment center because its likely to attract to itself the most normie people you can imagine. Only normies play call of duty, they are the absolute "peak normie", so every ideology seeks to recruit the normie. Call of duty is a normie concentration camp.
In my perspective, it was possible to do this because the game designers discovered a thing: normies hate to lose, normies want equality (psychological equality). So they engineered games where you cannot lose. I believe the ability to acknowledge equality is a stupid pipedream cope is a rare trait, and normies are inclined to seek equal distribution of resources and delude themselves. So call of duty more or less optimized the system so everyone can have psychological rewards that make a nomie perceive he got "equal outcome".
Normies will never have actual resource redistribution, but universities like london school of economics study human behavior so that they can make a normie perceive the sense of "equality" has been reached. Such is the situation with COD, it wont make you equal to a skilled player who spent more time training than you, but it will make you feel "psychologically rewarded". And normies are extremely inclined to be persuaded by that sort of manipulation.
In a system like unreal tournament health does not self regenerates, movement is fast not slow, maps are complex not flat, resources are limited and you have to calculate respawn of objects, dominate the terrain and master the movement and jumps and react quickly. You have to have good aim, be quick, have skill, and results of a match in UT can be 50-0, someone can dominate you totally. UT rewards skill and affirms inequality and the truth of life that all men are born unequal.
In a game like call of duty, it is very likely matches will end 4-7 or 2-0 or 9-13, there are cases of massive domination but they are derived on a mean average of killscore.
I tested this theory, I installed a call of duty clone called fortnite. I ended up winning all the time I dont remember having lost a match. I was already aware the system would have put me to play vs bots that reflect my noob level. Behind games like fortnite there is a layer of matchmaking that determines the equality level of various players so they can be pitted one against the other if they reach more or less a comparable mean. So this way, the experienced player will not crush the noob. They call this enforced equality "balance" with that deceptive jargon.
TLDR the easiest way to understand call of duty is to see it as an egalitarian promise to the normie masses. A promise that was fulfilled by behavioral economics.

Yeah, most media which incorporates the US military has essentially mandated propaganda ministers from the DoD influence the story of any game/show/movie. The most recent modern warfare iteration's plot was a spooks wet dream, it had evil Iranians moving weapons through Mexico with the help of cartels. Not sure how people still manage to play those games: the UI is completely disorienting, the matchmaking is algorithmically designed to keep you addicted rather than satisfied, they use straight up AI generated assets, the movement sucks balls and it's full of shitty gumdrop flavored cosmetics.

Theres a guy american krogan that made video serie about call of duty, in his perspective it was an anti white training program. He was able to pick from COD a coherent set of proof to portray his idea in a convincing manner.Broseph_Conrad wrote: 15 Apr 2026, 01:56 Yeah, most media which incorporates the US military has essentially mandated propaganda ministers from the DoD influence the story of any game/show/movie. My point is another. I was simply saying COD is full of propaganda and it integrates all theories on behavioral economics so that you get a real life example of all of them if you play COD.
Its a massive propaganda piece, and some say is the most relevant in our days because has an impact much greater than any hollywood production.
Besides that, my personal intuition is the core, the nucleus of call of duty is egalitarianism. They designed a system to reward psychologically the largest amount of players. Its designed around the idea of "equality of outcome", obviously "equality" understood as "a sensation" its not that you obtain equal skills or equal knowledge or anything. The game simply makes you perceive as if you are "rewarded", in that sense they give you "equality".
