Being the cliche nerd that I am I cannot have cats and dogs as pets due to allergies. It is because of this reason I never had any cats or dogs as pets.

If anyone on here has cats or dogs as pets, I was wondering if anyone of you guys would take it to a taxidermist after it dies and get it stuffed and maybe put in your living room as a decoration? Or would you guys bury it in the pet cemetery instead of your backyard?

I wonder what your thoughts are on this topic?

I've buried all my cats in the woods but before I even had gotten my first cat I had a rabbit which died from old age so I put him in the freezer until I went to visit my grandparents where I would bury him.

Also when I was 10 I bought a dog from someone that sold it without letting their kids know so their kids come to me begging to bring on their vacation for one last time which I agreed on since their dad had paid me (200$) to say yes.
Then I get a call that it got kicked by a horse -_- so I got my money back and they buried it in Spain, not that I really cared about the dog since I just had it for like 2 days rofl...

I haven't really thought of turning any of them into furniture and I don't think I'd like it either

It sounds like you have a lot of experience with pet burials.

I think it would cool using taxidermies animals as decorations. I in particular want a floor mount stuffed black bear but it was expensive cost around $10,000.

There is website that allows you to buy taxidermied animals but the prices are insanely high.

Yeah my dads friend have a lot of animals as decorations, especially birds but he also has some fox and what not.
I remember them saying it was well worth over $100,000
