Using the framework of Gabriele D'Annunzio and his version of the superuomo ("superman"), I show you that romanticope is a structure of aesthetic domination.

D'Annunzio says the world does not generates meaning equally. Superior minds generate meaning first, and the superior people distribute it to all others in forms of images and various symbols and teach emotions and senses and myth is all derived from them.

the receiver = consumer of romance

Its as simple as that, you consume = slave.

In D'Annunzio model, superior people do not just live romance, and when they see the world they aestheticize it. As result their mind manufactures senses of heroism and porn and identity. All senses bulit thru superior people interacting with nature are then spread so that the bottom feeders can attain a manufactured identity.

Narrators are superior. The narrators create reality itself, and they assign a role to the inferior receivers. Inferior receivers are all artifacts.

A slave can be described as someone who owns no property, and labors for food and basic resources. But in this model the inferior is even more than a slave, hes someone who has meaning captured by an elite superior.

The receiver (called like this in absence of another term) becomes someone whos emotional existence is appropriated. So its a level of slavery more profound than just labor for basic resources. Which is why communism and fascism have both a potential to produce worse than slavery.

D'Annunzio frames it benevolently, similar to fabian society. He says the narrator "gives" meaning to others. So theres a giver and a taker, similar to transgender sexporn where someone is bottom another will be top.

The masses are aesthetically dependent on creators. So D'Annunzio is essentially describing the economy of meaning generated on the internet with the eceleb watchers and parasocial bros and relatable contents like taxi driver and joker. Someone will create an ontological hierarchy, the bottom receivers will derive a false identity from whatever they watched, they will be dominated.

Thru the eyes of the anal expanded receiver, domination appears as enchantment, transcendence, poetry, great depth of intellect.
