Assuming the desert companies of Nazi Germanys military stumbled across ISIS in Syria using the same technology they had back in 2015-16 who'd win? Isis has better tech but the Wehrmacht has FAR superior leader leadership. No aircraft, no navy or outside help etc.
Both have about the same number of men

Hmm this is an interesting scenario. I'm not sure I'm informed enough to be confident in any assessment. Though I am leaning towards the Nazis as Erwin Rommel was such an excellent commander I think he would be able to best them in a relatively even match.
Even technologically, did ISIS really have that many tanks, or just armored personnel carriers? I remember seeing one or two videos with ISIS mujahideen in tanks, but not sure how many they really had.
I would think the Nazis would have enough Panzers to dominate them in terms of machinery and mechanization even with the technological difference, I also don't think the home field advantage would benefit ISIS particularly, as most of the eastern half of Syria is empty, flat desert—and not all the local civilian population was particularly loyal to ISIS. Though maybe they could pull off more ambushes and supply chain disruption in the mountainous western regions.
I suspect that between Rommel's tactical genius, their mechanization, and the efficient pragmatism of the Nazi German spirit, they could come out on top. At least that's what I would hope because I think Nazis are even more based than fag-stoning ISIS chads
