You should not let your prejudice and presentiment about women’s promiscuity and moral decline enrage you; while you may reserve distaste for their indecency, it will do you no good to react against it with rancor.

I would never devote myself to a woman of sensational background and unpredictable curiosities; however, I do not condemn or shun those who do. Yes, I have accumulated the supreme indifference—one that presents itself candidly yet administers no pretension.
