In my opinion, this is much of the reason why .is is more dead nowadays. Most men are not interested in discussing their unattractiveness even if they are virgins. They'd rather cope by discussing politics and race. Incels.is is no longer a unique haven for such discussion. As such, it is once again niche and significantly less active.

I think this is implicit in much of what you say and certainly something which I know you are cognizant of given your experiences but, it must be said that a majority of those who actually register on .is are either not actually themselves incels or will very soon be disqualified from that designation by virtue of their robust social lives and opportunities for sexual gratification.

It's an aesthetic to them. Another reason why the forums have less activity on them nowadays is because the current edgy alternative aesthetic is now being a "Nazi" or a "chud." Larping as an incel isn't as trendy anymore.
I disagree with you to some extent. I do think that a good deal of .is ARE INCELS, however, the reason they are incels is likely autism more than anything else. A lot of mentalcels tend to have a superiority complex over non mentalcels.
