I know conspiracies got a bad reputation.
Probably is because of several factors. In a conspiracy scene you see a ton of normies who are mono maniacal and they fixate on an idea or a specific conspiracy, they resist against evidence and they behave as if they know it all already.
This is a typical normie behavior.
When I was incel 9 years ago in times of Elliot Rodger mass exposure I discussed it with normies very often. normies would read of ER on mainstream media, and usually these mainstream publications would blame ER on "incel culture". A word normies used often was "radicalization" it was assumed our goal online was to radicalize the youth and make them hate women and we worship serial killers.
In these piece of mainstream media, they also were used to interview some "expert" in psychology, some asshole who didnt even read our incel contents but already knew it all. They were used to do a quick analysis of "incel culture" that is completely inaccurate and based on their own scarecrows.
I was used to defend vs angry normies who wanted to kill me. Also because back in the days, it was popular to discuss the implementation of "anti terrorism" or "domestic terrorism" in europe just like its present in america. After 911 america improved their intelligence services with the excuse of the arab menace. In EU they opened quite recently some anti terrorism courses that plug military higher ups into NATO and they drain collective resources to fight imaginary terrorism and domestic threats.
A part of this operation is to AB test with mainstream media painting antifa, incels, trannies and whatever as "domestic terrorism".
So I dealt with fanatical mono maniacal normies all the time. When someone is fixated on an idea hes completely irrational. Its typical of normies, we have to remember these assholes did witch hunting and book burning in the past. They can be easily swindled and they are emotional and violent.
Its like this in any conspiracy. There are normies everywhere. Conspiracy culture is super mainstream. So you will find for sure some absurd insane normies who believe the earth is flat, bigfoot is real and aliens altered our DNA and dogman is also real.
They mix things that are also true and demonstrable. For instance MK ultra can be demonstrated and is real. Thres 154 experiments disclosed they are also reported in encyclopedia of hypnosis and you can find them. Some conspiracies are real and they were considered fake, for example the whole of topic of "chemtrails" can be considered "real" but not in the way the schizotards were discussing it. I mean these people online pictured normal airplane exhaust fumes and they pretended that was "chemtrails".
Inside alien related topics, a community called "metabunk" already debunked 99% of the copes. But normies were recently revitalized by joe roagan and alex jones, who narrated again the same copes of 50 years ago. So nowadays you get last minute normies unable to check info for themselves who will listen to alex jones and know it all already.
Now, despite normies always ruin anything. I think conspiracy culture is essential. Like, also the existence of a functioning dissident community is essential for a country. You do need people who challenge the mainstream views in society at any point. Which is why is such a tragedy we are dealing with a broken dissident scene and a ruined conspiracy scene.
I think conspiracy theories are essential.
