Fallout 3 saved the franchise from dying of old age by becoming a great fps for noobs. COD has become a bunch of stupid soyer shit today.

I would add that you are mistaken about GTA V as it at least has the potential to be the greatest game in the entire anthology if you install and use the lspdfr mod which completely changes the game play and which is the only reason I ever bought it on Steam.
