Carl Ericsson, a 73-year-old man from Watertown, sh+t and k***ed his former high school classmate, Norman Johnson, in 2012—over an incident that happened more than 50 years earlier. Ericsson told investigators he couldn’t stop thinking about a humiliating prank from their school days, where Johnson had allegedly put a jockstrap over his head in front of classmates. That memory festered for decades, leading him to confront and ultimately shoot Johnson twice in the face at his home.

I would give him a sentence 5 years and encourage him to learn something in prison and get a title like philosophy or math or whatever. Pay him a full course, treat him well. A small slap on the wrist just to tell him "dont do it again". But overall I would smile with approval and benevolence and I would consider his debt to society fully payed and help him get a job afterwards.
