I honestly never played any of the Fallout games

But after watchmaxxing the entire new show "Fallout" that came out this year i really want to play the game now...

Try Fallout 3. It's older but it gives a more authentic Wasteland experience. It also allows you to go ER early in the game against normies( won't spoil it).

Fallout 4 is ok. Doesn't allow an early ER. Good content is locked behind a pay wall for dlcs.

Fallout 76 is the multiplayer version. It's ok but it has poor reputation. It was free to claim for amazon prime subscribers, not sure if this is the case still.This could possibly be a good way for us comrades to play together if that ever comes about?

The later games are good but nowhere near the amazingness of the turn-based 3rd-person isometric-view of the first two games.

I’ve only played fallout 4 so far and it was a decent game with only just ( only just ) a few mods

I played 4, 76 and New Vegas, they were enjoyable enough, I liked it mostly because of the retro 50s and 60s theme stuff.
