For some reason where I live farmers get a pass for owning firearms. They also do use them, and one farmer shot my brother I hope was with salt or something non-lethal. He hit the bike, but farmers tend to be nasty pieces of shit.

The farmer status is considered quite low, but depends, in some small villages its not a bad status because you become a patron for organizing various festivities, so people give you some decent respect not bad.

Most farmers own old land, derived from thievery and the mass deaths of WW2 allowed a ton of illegal appropriation of land. Another portion of farmers is old money people, they still have land given to their family by old monarchy and they own historical villas and so on.

During WW2, the farmer was considered fascist, simply because it was reframed into "land owner" and lots of workers in the industry were instead socialist, simply because be worker = be under the boot of mafia corporals. So it came logical to many people to join socialism.

Farmer status nowadays is quite nice, you rip off EU with scams, you dont work, you get others to work the land for you. Politics protects you, and you can enjoy firearms undisturbed for some reason. You can shoot people on sight.
